When it takes hours between washing, drying and styling our hair – it’s no surprise that women are washing their hair less these days. In fact, there seems to be a sense of pride to see just how long we can go without washing our hair, and I’m here for it.
I remember when dry shampoo started to became popular. Everyone seemed to be either skeptical or wildly curious. I definitely fell under the second category. After years of experience under my belt (which is crazy to think about), I’d like to view myself as an expert in the field of dry shampoo.
I have a list of hairstyles in my arsenal that will last me up to 5 days without washing my hair, yes – 5 days.
Day 1
Here’s my look for Day 1 of my post-wash hair. My go-to is to throw on a headband over my original hairstyle. It will instantly polish up my look, while still maintaining my hairstyle. All I need is a little bit of Pantene Curl Affair Curl (Re)Shaping Cream to maintain the fresh look. It provides anti-frizz hydration that works to block humidity, so curls stay smooth all day long. Bonus, the ingredient line up is a real winner with Argan oil, amino acids, Omega-9 and Pro-vitamin B5.
Day 2
For Day 2, I like to naturally part my hair off to the side. This look is more on the ‘messier’ side and does an amazing job of adding natural volume to your hair. I douse it with Pantene Curl Affair Curl (Re)Shaping Cream to help it achieve the ‘messier’ look. To reshape curls, twist or scrunch the curl reshaping cream through dry hair. For softly defined curls, apply to damp hair. Did I mention it’s free of sulfates, parabens and alcohol?
Day 3
Day 3 hair is SO easy! I literally take my hair and carefully pull it into a low ponytail. I make sure to leave a few inches of hair in front of my hair to frame out my face. You can even play around with different hair scrunchies & accessories to go with your look for the day. I like to dispense a small amount of Pantene Cheat Day Dry Shampoo Foam onto my fingertips and massage at the roots to keep it looking fun and bouncy. The wild mint and tapioca from Cassava root helps remove any excess oils and refresh my look.
Day 4
For Day 4, I take my ponytail and transform it into a low bun, for a more elevated look. I keep the same pieces of hair in front of my face, and make sure to use Pantene Mist Behaving Dry Conditioner Mist on the ends of my hair to keep them looking fresh and frizz-free.
Day 5
Finally, for my final look – the high bun. This, for some reason, has been my absolute favorite lately. I even wear my hair like this to the gym. I keep the same pieces in the front and pull my bun tightly on top of my head.
What I love the most about this hairstyle is how truly versatile it is. It can go with a cocktail dress, to the gym, to a day date, and to the office. Not to mention, it looks so put together – you would never think it’s Day 5 hair. Again, I just dab a bit of Pantene Mist Behaving Dry Conditioner Mist to the front pieces to keep them looking lively.
That’s it! I hope you enjoyed! Which look was your favorite?! Let me know in the comments below!
I challenge you to ditch the messy bun and try out these fun hairstyles, as well as the new Pantene Waterless Collection. It’s sooooo good, and the collection is free of sulfates and parabens – which is a must! Let me know if you end up trying the products, or any of my non-wash hairstyles! #BanTheBun
